Make-Up Routine For a Fair Skinned, Acne Prone, Lady

Hi Everyone,

When I'm on youtube or googling for certain product reviews, I realize how hard it is to find make-up that will suit extremely fair people like myself. It's especially hard to find this at drugstores, and just in general. So for you ladies who are like me and can't even wear Mac NC 20 foundation since it makes you look like an oompa loompa got a spray tan, here's my recommendations and my routine.
Face
MoisturizerApplying a moisturizer before applying make-up is a way to make your skin prepped for foundation and powders and helps with make-up application.

What I use:

Yes to Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream Image
Yes to Carrots Day Cream (About $14.99)
GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream - VALUE COSMETICS - GNC
GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream ($1.99 )

FoundationThere are many different types of foundation you can use. For a lighter coverage you could use a BB Cream or tinted moisturizer. Personally, my skin needs full coverage because of acne, freckles, and scaring. You can apply this with either your hands, or a brush.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation in Ivory (Roughly $9.99 - $12.99)

Setting Powder Setting foundation is key to making it last all day with little or no touch ups. Make sure with powder that you keep it light, otherwise you could look like a cake face. Id recommend a large powder brush. Since I have super fair skin and look like a ghost, its hard for me to find a good foundation powder that doesn't look like a bronzer on my skin. This is a powder I randomly tried and have sticked with. Not only does it feel soft and such, but it blends well and doesn't make my skin look super dry like with other powders.

Maybelline New York Fit Me! Powder in 110 Porcelain (Roughly $5-$6)

BronzerFinding a good bronzer is hard, let me tell ya. Instead of using a powder, which usually has a slight shimmer, you could always put a foundation a tad darker than what you normally use, or a concealer to get that matte look. I personally prefer powder because of the look it gives and I like the application. I apply mine with an angled contouring brush, and I find it I use a brush like this, it really sculpts out my cheek bones and temples.

Physicians Formula Happy Boosting Bronzer in Light Bronzer (Roughly $13.95)

e.l.f Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder ($3)

BlushIf you have acne on your cheeks, Id skip this step. Not only would it emphasis it with the shimmer, but it would increase the look of redness. When applying, use a blush brush and follow the 2 finger rule ( apply blush 2 finger spaces away from the start of the apples of your cheeks and blend it in slightly with the bronzer, but with keeping them separate)

e.l.f Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder ($3)
e.l.f. Studio Blush
e.l.f Studio Blush in Tickled Pink ($3)

Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls Blush in Rose Pearl (Roughly $11.95)

Physicians Formula Happy Boosting Blush in Pink
