Dark As Night  Tips On How To Achieve a Matte Black Eye Look One of the looks I receive the most questions on is how I achieve a matte black smokey eye without looking like a raccoon or having it look patchy on the lids. I believe after years of wanting to be a goth girl and through trial and error I have learned tips and tricks throughout the years in order to make a gorgeous matte black eyeshadow look that lasts all day long without needing touch ups. I feel this look is something anybody can do, and that you don't need a specific eye shape in order to achieve this without it closing up the eyes. I hope you find these tips and tricks to be useful! xoxo Kitten _________________________________________________ LethalKitten's Guide to a Matte Black Smokey Eye If you want a beautiful black smokey eye to last all day, you will need to use a primer! Let's be honest, a lot of people try to go without using an eyeshadow primer. I know a lot of people feel

Eggplant and Metallic Silver Cut Crease Eye Look - New Years Glam - House of Lashes Boudoir Review

Image
Eggplant and Metallic Silver Cut Crease Eye Look New Years Glam House of Lashes Boudoir Review This look is inspired by an eye look I did years ago when I first got into bright and more dramatic styles of makeup. With this look I did a traditional cut crease with carving out the eyelid with NYX's jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk with a shader brush. This is a style I don't do often, and find to be challenging from time to time due to it being difficult to get both eyes to match. This is definitely one of my favorite looks to do since it has such a dramatic effect,  House of Lashes Review This was my first time using House of Lashes eyelashes in a look after purchasing them during the Black Friday sale. The lashes I chose to wear were in the style Boudoir, which is definitely a flirtatious and playful style. These lashes are of impeccable quality and have a lot of detail. The lashes themselves have a wide variety of short and long eyelashes to give a more natu

L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Review!

L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Review! This week I tried out the L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. This combination from L'Oreal is formulated for fine, flat hair, that claims to add shine and body to your hair without weighing it down. It claims to be great for color treated hair and that it doesn't contain harsh sulfates, salts or surfactants that can strip and damage hair. These products claim to be 100% sulfate-free, paraben-free, contain no harsh salts, dye-free, contain no gluten ingredients, and is a vegan product. All this information about this product I found on the L'Oreal website and printed on the product packaging itself.  Hope you enjoy the review! ___________________________ Before we start this review I would like to explain that my hair is extremely long and that it is over 4 inches past my butt. My hair is oily at the scalp, but dry at the ends due to the length of my h

Apricot Eyes - Colourpop Viper Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick Review!

Apricot Eyes  Colourpop Viper Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick  Review This look is inspired by Apricots and fall colors. This year I have been very inspired by orange and berry shades, especially around this time of year. This look features a orange smokey eye with touches of burgundy and dark brown along with a golden highlight. I followed up with this beautiful Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Viper to bring out the purple shades in my shirt. The inner corner highlight is Colourpop's Super Shock Eyeshadow in the shade Fringe, which matches beautifully with the necklace I paired with it. Hope you enjoy this fall inspired look :) Products Used: Face: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation - 42 Coty Airspun Powder - Extra Coverage Translucent ELF Studio Blush - Mellow Mauve Wet N' Wild Mega Glo Illuminating Powder - Catwalk Pink Inglot AMC Scupting Powder - 505  Urban Decay All Nighter  Eyes: Too Face

Galaxy Inspired Makeup - Featuring Colourpop Bae

Image
Galaxy Inspired Makeup Featuring Colourpop Bae Colourpop is one of those brands that is somewhat new to me as a consumer. I just have recently made an order and ordered a few different products to try out. I bough a few of the super shock shadows in different formulas, blush, highlighter, lippie stix, gel eyeliner, and a ultra matte liquid lipstick. After being in more makeup groups on Facebook and being surrounded by Colourpop I thought why not give in and try it. One of the first shadows that had intrigued me was Bae. This is a burgundy based shadow that leans more on the purple side. It also contains blue shimmer throughout the product which is nice. However, the shimmer was just not enough for my taste so I had decided to add a dusting of Sugarpill's Lumi on top applying it dry with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Overall I have been impressed with Colourpop and I will continue to update with my looks as to what I recommend and don't recommend from the brand.

Alchemy - Dark Purple Makeup Look

Alchemy - Dark Purple Makeup Look  Today's look I wanted to try something new which is dark purple lipstick. Since I didn't own one I went ahead and mixed Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Echo in equal parts with Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Redrum. It created the most beautiful purple shade that is wonderful for Fall. I paired this lipstick with a neutral based purple smokey eye, winged eyeliner, falsies, and some interesting accessories. Hope you enjoy! Matte Creme Lip Crayon by Bite Beauty Review

Image
Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon Review #TheMatteCremeLip By: LethalKitten This month I received my first VoxBox from Influenster. Within the box it contained the new Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon's in the new shades Red Velvet, Cava, and Glace. I have never tried Bite Beauty and was super excited to try these out. I am a big fan of matte lipsticks and if I'm not wearing liquid lipstick that is usually what I gravitate to formula wise.  These Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon's are a wonderful product. They glide very easily on the lips and are extremely pigmented. A little goes a long way with the product and you only need one swipe to get the true color on the lips. The formula itself is extremely creamy but easy to apply. They are very moisturizing unlike a lot of matte lipsticks, and I feel that if you are someone who has a problem with matte lipsticks drying your lips out you will love these. However, they do feel thick on the lips and are not

OGX - Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo and Conditioner Review

OGX - Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo and Conditioner Review Earlier this week I had ran out of conditioner for my hair and was looking to try something new instead of using my go-to Bed Head Re-Energized Shampoo and Conditioner. Mind you, I really like the Bed Head product, but I was feeling a little adventurous and had wanted to try and find something better. As a result I had made a post in Facebook groups asking ladies to recommend what they use themselves.  My hair in retrospect is extremely long being 4-5 inches past my butt. My hair can get oily at the scalp, is normally dry at the ends, and just overall needs something to give it a good ol' boost. One of the ladies recommended the OGX Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo and Conditioner. In the past I have really wanted to try OGX but never knew exactly which one to try since my hair was both oily and dry at the same time.  The Claims: Shampoo: "Heals brittle, frizzy, unruly hair by penetrating each sha

Black Moon

Dark, vampy, and slightly mysterious... Hello my lovelies :) Been wanting to do a bold black lip for awhile now and just haven't had the time. I paired it with a neutral black smokey eye with a cool undertone burgundy.  When wearing deep lip shades I always feel it's very hard to find a corresponding eye look that will compliment, but not make the lips over powering. This type of smokey eye is very simple, takes very few products (or more as you wish), and can compliment just about any lip color you could think of. I hope you enjoy what I came up with x xoxo Kitten (Earrings are from TopShop x ) ------------- Products Used Face: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation - 42 Essence All About Matt!
