Olive Cut Crease

Image
Hello! This is actually a throw back photo from a few weeks ago. One of the first times that I had tried doing an olive cut crease. With having hazel eyes that lean towards the green side, I typically stray away from green eyeshadow since it doesn't always make my eyes pop. Though with this look, I customized an olive green to my liking by blending and mixing different shades of green, brown, and blue together.  A tip I always give people who want to try new colors is to either make them yourself and customize the shade to your liking, or simply do thick eyeliner paired with the look. When doing thick eyeliner, you make a black barrier between the eye look, and your eye itself. This allows your eyes to pop more (in this case like with me and the olive shade) and makes it so your eye isn't right up against the color that you aren't too fond of normally. (I typically do this with orange and yellow eyeshadows as well) I decided to pair this with a light contour and a

For this look I wanted to try something different and bit more out of the box for me. I've been seeing a lot of pictures recently on Instagram with girls using crazy reflective pigments/glitters in the inner corner with matte eyeshadows everywhere else. When looking through my make-up, I realized it's been awhile since I've used Sugarpill's Lumi (a light blue reflective pigment). So this is the look I came up with by show casing Lumi. Also, a suggestion when using pigments is to mix them with a mixing medium (I typically use Inglot Duraline). Not only does it make application easier, but it gives you better color payoff from the pigment :) Products Used Face: Maybelline Fit Me! Today's goal was to use Urban Decay's Vice 3 palette. I've been really loving the color called 'Bondage' for its burgundy undertones. It always catches my eye but I never know how to encorporate it within my looks. Tried it ontop of a black base (Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner) and made it into a smokey eye. Honestly, I know a lot of people who don't like Vice 3 but personally its one of my most used palettes for the wide color selection. Products Used Face: Maybelline Fit Me!
