L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Review!

L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Review!

This week I tried out the L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. This combination from L'Oreal is formulated for fine, flat hair, that claims to add shine and body to your hair without weighing it down. It claims to be great for color treated hair and that it doesn't contain harsh sulfates, salts or surfactants that can strip and damage hair. These products claim to be 100% sulfate-free, paraben-free, contain no harsh salts, dye-free, contain no gluten ingredients, and is a vegan product. All this information about this product I found on the L'Oreal website and printed on the product packaging itself.

Hope you enjoy the review!

Before we start this review I would like to explain that my hair is extremely long and that it is over 4 inches past my butt. My hair is oily at the scalp, but dry at the ends due to the length of my hair. My hair is flat, fine, and has a wavy texture to it that likes to get tangled up easily. My hair color is my natural hair color, and I do not color treat my hair.

Shampoo:
This shampoo is an absolutely amazing product! I really feel it cleansed my hair well and that it added a lot of volume to my hair that my normal shampoo does not. My bangs were a lot fluffier than normal, and my hair definitely had a lot of volume boost to it that I am not used to. I could definitely tell after the first use of using this product that it really made my hair volumized. This product lathered rather well and you do not need a lot of product per use. Less is more when using this product, meaning you will get a lot of value out of buying this product. I also noticed after the first few uses of using this product that my hair dried a lot faster than normal. Generally my hair takes 2-3 hours to air dry, and after using this product it cut my drying time in half which is something I really enjoy in products. Since this product is a volumizing formula, I was really worried that it would strip the oils out of my hair, or weigh it down. To my surprise it cleansed my hair just as well as my OGX Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo (which is my holy grail), but instead gave me the volume boost that it claimed to give. Overall I would definitely purchase the shampoo out of this line, and definitely recommend it for those who have fine, flat hair like me.

Conditioner:
Unfortunately, I am not the biggest fan of the conditioner out of this line from L'Oreal EverPure. This conditioner isn't the worst, but isn't the best either. Since I loved the shampoo, I would have assumed that I was going to love the combination together, but unfortunately this product just did not do it for me. This product first off weighed down my hair and I could definitely tell that it didn't do what it claimed even after the first use. It also left a weird film like residue in my hair, which made it hard to brush out. It made my hair feel extremely dry, as if I never put conditioner in my hair and made it get a lot more knots than normal. On occasion I use the L'Oreal Ever Curl Shampoo and Conditioner, and have a great experience with that conditioner and love using it. I was hoping for this one to work just as well as that one does for me since that one leaves my hair feeling extremely soft, and makes brushing my hair go by super quick. Unfortunately, I would not repurchase the conditioner because of this, and feel that there are better conditioners throughout the L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free line.
